Barm's Shooter Shrine / / Nicely done fansite dedicated to ( you guessed it ) SHMUPS. The reviews are spot-on, insightful and a joy to read - decorated with glorious boxart and media from his impressive collection. Barm's labour of love is well worth your visit.

Click-Stick / / " A primarily shooting game-centric resource including game news, replays, music, and other hidden treasures. Frequently updated." Says it all, really! A truly wonderful site regularly updated with all kinds of shmup ( and bemani / Japanese ) gaming eggs. Click away.

SHMUPS / / While claims of being the world's very first SHMUP website might sound a little far-fetched, this excellent website is home to a bustling forum / highscore community and some very detailed reviews. Probably the single greatest SHMUP resource in English.

Shoot the Core / / Much more than your average review site, STC is home to some incredibly interesting shmup articles and other related material ( including fan art! ). This site is a pure stroke of genius. Go and check it out!

Shoot Them Up! / / Owners of the 'shmup.com' domain - and for good reason too. An extensive site with a wealth of information including a shmup dictionary of terms and reviews for hundreds of games. Bad luck for most of us because it's all in French!

Triggerzone / / Another exhaustive European site which appears to be an excellent resource for everything shmup related. However, it's mostly in German and thus beyond reach. Babelfish might help!

Turn.to/Vertical / / A site dedicated only to shmups that support the arcade-style screen tilt ( vertical TATE ) mode. The site seems to have fallen into a frozen state lately and some of the reviews are very poorly written. Still worth a gander.

(the Sheep's) World-of-Arcades / / A meticulously crafted site with collected goodies from Cave / Raizing / Psikyo shmups. Absolutely indepth and a fascinating site with a wealth of information presented in a clean and accessible manner.
